Bangladesh government has issued a new circular dated 18 May, 2010 on issuance/renewal of emergency passport. Now emergency passports can be renewed/issued upto 3 (Three) years. Important Changes in Passport Regulations
From 01 April 2010 the Government of Bangladesh has introduced Machine Readable Passport (MRP) and Machine Readable Visa (MRV). Application for MRP can only be made in ten designated regional passport offices in Dhaka, Mymensingh, Chittagong, Sylhet, Comilla, Rajshahi, Barishal, Rangpur, Jessore and Gopalgonj.
